Sonja describes herself as a passionate rookie in the endurance world, but we would argue that she's well beyond rookie status after winning the infamous New Zealand Coast 2 Coast 2-day Individual race earlier this year. Sonja goes into great detail sharing her deep-seated fears around water and how she has worked to overcome them in the last few years through triathlon and multisport training and racing. This show covers an array of hugely important topics such as anxiety, imposter syndrome, RED-S, injury setbacks, positive self-talk, goal setting and the importance of coach-athlete relationships.
